LaToya King is a Senior Associate with the Make It Right Foundation focused on fundraising and development, donor management and reporting. Additionally, King is responsible for implementing and monitoring best practices and organizational governance.
Prior to Make It Right, King worked for Cherokee Investment Partners, a real estate private equity firm, focusing on deal analysis, due diligence and asset management. Before joining Cherokee in 2006, she was a lending specialist in the Community Development Finance group of the Fannie Mae Foundation, a private nonprofit organization. She underwrote and managed debt investments for the creation and preservation of affordable housing nationwide. She began her career as an analyst with Bank of America and later served as an underwriting manager in the Community Development Banking Group.
King received a BBA with honors from Howard University and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While at Kenan-Flagler, King was a Consortium for Graduate Study in Management student and a fellowship recipient.
